TAX EXEMPTION DISTRIBUTED TO VARIOUS STORES, CARINDERIA IN MARIKINA

MARIKINA, PHILIPPINES – The local government of Marikina once again distributed business tax exemption to qualified sari-sari stores and carinderia in the city led by Mayor Marcy Teodoro and Cong. Maan Teodoro.

Based on the Ordinance no.140, series of 2023, the Ordinance Business Permit and Business Tax Exemption for Sari-sari stores and cafeterias were given by the city government to qualified sari-sari stores to provide relief to small investors in the city.

Any sari-sari store and carinderia that has the following characteristics can be included in the business tax exemption: has a start-up capital (initial investment) of no more than ₱10,000 or has annual sales of no more than Ph₱180,000; and does not sell cigarettes or/and alcohol.

As for those who wish to be included in the shops and restaurants that have tax exemption can contact the Business Permits and Licensing Office of the city.

Last January, the Marikina city government was the first to distribute business tax exemptions to qualified sari-sari stores and cafeterias for the year 2024.
