Catanduanes, Philippines – In his oath-taking ceremony for his third and final term as mayor of Baras, Mayor Paolo Teves reaffirmed his commitment to providing excellent, honest, and humane service to the town and its people.
The ceremony was held on June 24, 2025, and was officiated by Municipal Circuit Trial Court Presiding Judge Carlo Martin T. Adille. During the event, Mayor Teves earnestly reiterated his dedication to meaningful, compassionate leadership focused on the development of Baras and the well-being of every Barasnon.



Showing their full support, his parents—TGP Party-list Congressman Bong Teves and Mrs. Lumen Teves—graced the occasion.
Simultaneously, the official oath-taking and turnover ceremony for the newly elected municipal officials also took place. Among those sworn in were Vice Mayor Rico Tating and the newly elected members of the Sangguniang Bayan.
In his inaugural address, Mayor Teves emphasized his unwavering commitment to principled leadership—one that upholds progress, equality, compassion, and lasting change. As he enters his final term, he expressed his hope to leave behind a legacy of a more progressive, inclusive, and humane Baras for future generations.
