TIKTOK BACK ON US APP STORES

Washington, USA — Social media app TikTok returns availability and accessibility in United States Apple and Google play stores.

This comes after US President Donald Trump postpones the implementation of the ban imposed for the Chines-owned social media platform.

Via an executive order, Trump grants Tiktok a 75-day extension, or until April 5, 2025, to comply with the mandate regarding its sale.

It can be recalled that then President Joe Biden signed a law ordering TikTok to sell its US version to a neutral party to dodge the ban.

The ban recommendation came after claims that the platform could be used by China as atool to spy and for political manipulation. Management of the app have repeatedly denied the accusations.

Trump have expressed agreeing to the ban but had a change of mind and heart, looking for a compromise with the company.

In US, over 170 million Americans have been using and enjoying the TikTok app.
