Manila, Philippines – Three years ahead of the 2028 Presidential Elections, there are already names on who are most likely to run and win for the highest position in the country.
Based on WR Numero Research’s August 2025 Philippine Public Opinion Monitor, Vice President Sara Duterte remains at the top of the list, gaining 31.4% of the votes on the premise that the elections happened today.
Following her is former Vice President and now Naga City Mayor Leni Robredo with 13.3% in second place,
Among the 13 politicians included in the survey list, 9 of them are incumbent senators namely Raffy Tulfo; Bong Go; Imee Marcos’ Bam Aquino; Grace Poe; Robin Padilla; Risa Hontiveros; Chiz Escudero, and Win Gatchalian.
Former senator Manny Pacquiao, as well as House Speaker Martin Romualdez are also in the presidential survey list.
Amid this, Malacañang shrugged off the results of the survey.
On the question of having no Marcos ally included in the list, the Palace defended that it is because the President is not looking too far ahead in politics.It also noted that the President will focus on the present issues not thinking about the presidential race in 2028.—Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
