Alexandra Eala once again showed Filipino pride in her performance against the American foe Kayla Day in the semifinals to proceed to the Guadalajara finals.
Eala had a poor start, but managed to dominate and won two sets — 6-2, and 6-3.
This will be Eala’s second-time competing for the WTA title this year, as she competed for the previous Eastbourne Open.
She is set to face World no. 134 Panna Udvardy of Hungary for the crown.
The finals will be held on Sunday, September 7, at 1:00 am (Philippine time).—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
