LEE BYUNG-HUN, HAN JI-MIN TO PLAY SPIES IN NEW SERIES TO BE RELEASED ON DISNEY+

Another series that Korean lovers will definitely be watching because they will be able to watch the new series starring South Korean actors Lee Byung-hun and Han Ji-min.

This was shared by Disney+ through their social media post, where photos of the lead stars were revealed. They will play partners who are spies in the series titled “The Koreans.”

According to Disney, the announcement also marks the start of production for the said project.

The series is a new version of the award-winning show “The Americans,” originally starring Matthew Rhys and Keri Russell.

The original series of The Americans is set during the Cold War and follows the story of two Soviet intelligence officers who pose as an American couple.

Meanwhile, in The Koreans, the two will play middle class parents in the 1990s as a North Korean spy couple to overthrow South Korea.

Byung-hun is known for some of the series he starred in such as Mr. Sunshine, Concrete Utopia and No Other Choice.

He also played the voice of King Gwi-Ma, one of the hit animated films KPop Demon Hunters.

Han Ji-min also starred in “Our Blues,” as well as in the Korean dramas “Behind Your Touch” and “Love Scout”.

Meanwhile, there is no exact date yet for when The Koreans will be released, but it will be exclusively available on Disney+ next year.
