VLOGGER CHARGED OVER CALLS TO ARREST AND KILL TWO DOGS

Batangas, Philippines — The Animal Kingdom Foundation (AKF) has formally filed a complaint against vlogger “Mis Hart” from Lemery, Batangas, following a viral live video in which he allegedly ordered two dogs to be captured, beaten, and killed after they damaged his expensive slippers.

In the video, she could also be heard repeatedly referring to the two dogs as a nuisance.

He also appeared unfazed by comments from his followers during the livestream, who pointed out that his actions were against the law.

According to the AKF, the incident constitutes a clear violation of Republic Act No. 8485, or the Animal Welfare Act of 1998, as amended by R.A. 10631.

Barangay Bukal immediately coordinated with the Lemery Municipal Police to investigate the incident and take appropriate action.

The barangay also summoned the vlogger to explain the alleged abuse and threats against the dog, which he reportedly threatened to have killed.

The two dogs are currently safe.

The barangay also agreed to surrender the dogs to the AKF so they could be transferred to a rescue center.

The Animal Kingdom Foundation appealed to the public not to abuse animals or use them as content.

While the AKF does not condone the alleged destruction of property, the group urged the public not to resort to cruelty or violence.

The organization also said it does not dismiss the anger felt by the victim whose property was allegedly damaged, but stressed that such anger should not lead to or result in violent acts such as beating or killing animals.

The AKF also urged the public not to support vloggers who abuse animals.

Meanwhile, aside from the Animal Kingdom Foundation, numerous animal welfare advocates and dog lovers have expressed sympathy over the incident and called for justice for the two dogs.
