Traffic Expected Due to Tunnel-Boring Machine Transfer from Manila to QC

The Department of Transportation (DOTr) announced on Friday that traffic congestion is expected in certain areas from July 20 to July 22 due to the relocation of a tunnel-boring machine from Manila to Quezon City.

In an advisory, the DOTr stated that the heavy equipment, used for the construction of the Metro Manila Subway Project, will be transported from the Manila port area to the vicinity of Camp Aguinaldo.

The following areas are anticipated to experience traffic from 9 p.m. to 4 a.m. on the specified dates:

  • Port/R-10 (between 9 p.m. and 9:30 p.m.)
  • C3 Road (between 9:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m.)
  • 5th Avenue (between 10:30 p.m. and 12:00 a.m.)
  • G. Araneta Avenue (between 12:00 a.m. and 1:30 a.m.)
  • E. Rodriguez Sr. Avenue (between 1:30 a.m. and 2:00 a.m.)
  • Gilmore Avenue (between 2:00 a.m. and 3:00 a.m.)
  • Col. Bonny Serrano Avenue (between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.)

Motorists are advised to take alternative routes during these times.
