Kyiv, Ukraine — At least five people were killed in a series of Russian attacks in different parts of Ukraine, according to a post by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Wednesday, September 9, local time.
On X, the Ukrainian President said three regions were targeted by Moscow.
One of them was a Russian drone attack near a shopping mall in the northeastern part of Ukraine, Sumy.
Two people were killed while 14 others were injured.
Meanwhile, a nine-storey apartment building was also attacked in the capital Kyiv, killing one person and injuring seven others, including two children.
A large-scale attack also took place in southern part Mykolaiv, killing two people and injuring seven others.
Following these incidents, Zelenskyy urged Ukraine’s partner countries to step up appropriate measures to de-escalate Russian forces.
He also warned that Moscow’s alleged terrorist attacks could also be used as a means of putting pressure on other countries.
