BANGSAMORO GOV’T ORDERS WFH SETUP ON OCTOBER 27-30 AHEAD OF INAUGURAL SESSION

The Bangsamoro government has ordered a work-from-home arrangement for government offices within the Bangsamoro Government Center and adjacent areas from October 27 to 30, 2026.

This is in preparation for the inaugural session of the first Bangsamoro Regular Parliament.

Chief Minister Abdulraof A. Macacua issued the executive order to address expected traffic congestion, transportation and mobility concerns, and heightened security requirements surrounding the opening session scheduled for October 30.

The inaugural session will also include the election of the region’s Chief Minister, Parliament Speaker, and other officers, as applicable.

Under the order, a skeletal workforce will be allowed to report on-site, while the remaining employees will work from home.

However, personnel responsible for frontline services and essential operations must continue reporting physically to their offices to ensure uninterrupted public service.

The executive order does not cover Bangsamoro Parliament officials and personnel, who will follow their regular on-site work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Regular work, office operations, classes, business activities, and other activities covered by the order are scheduled to resume on November 3, 2026, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
