DTI TARGETS DALI GROCERY FOR SANITARY VIOLATIONS

Manila,Philippines- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) issued a show cause order against Dali Everyday Grocery for alleged sanitary issues and non-compliance with business regulations.

Assistant Secretary Amanda Nograles stated that the DTI issued the show cause order to Dali on May 29, 2024, covering 13 complaints filed by Malayan Konsyumer, a consumer group protecting consumer rights.

Nograles added that he sought assistance from the DTI and the Department of the Interior and Local Government to identify localities where Dali has sanitary issues.

Malaya Konsumer reported to the DTI’s Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau (FTEB) that Dali Everyday Grocery management allegedly failed to address consumer complaints.

The Fair Trade Enforcement Bureau of the DTI will investigate the matter and take appropriate action to ensure the Dali store’s compliance with the Consumers Act.
