MANILA PHILIPPINES – Sinuspinde na ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) ng 90 araw ang lisensya ng driver ng itim na luxury car na sangkot sa fatal shooting incident nitong Martes, May 28, sa Edsa-Ayala Tunnel Makati City.
Ayon kay LTO Chief Asec. Atty. Vigor Mendoza II ginawa nila ito habang nagpapatuloy ang imbestigasyon sa kinahaharap nitong kasong administratibo sa ahensya.
Sa oras daw na mapatunayang guilty ang driver na si Gerrard Raymund Yu sa Reckless Driving at Improper Person to Operate a Motor Vehicle, kabilang sa maximum penalty nito ang matanggalan sya ng lisensya.
Una nang naglabas ng Show Cause Order (SCO) ang LTO kahapon laban sa driver nito pati na ang registered car owner nito.
Ani Mendoza, dahil nasa kustodiya ngayon ng pulisya ang driver, ito ay oobligahing magsumite ng notarized affidavit.

“We already issued a Show Cause Order against him and since he is already under police custody for a case that is non-bailable, he was directed to submit a notarized affidavit on why he should not be penalized,” ayon kay mendoza.
Naaresto kahapon si Yu sa kanyang bahay sa Pasig City sa pakikipag-ugnayan nila sa PNP at sasakyan nitong ginamit pati ang baril na nagmatch sa balang pumatay sa biktimang si Aniceto Mateo.
“These are all part of the due process. What is important here is that it sent a strong message that the PNP and the LTO are working together to address this kind of crime,” dagdag pa ni mendoza.
