Manila Philippines — Based on the confirmation of international reports, the MV Tutor manned by 22 Filipino crew members was said to have sunk after being attacked by Houthi Rebels in the Red Sea on June 12.
According to the United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) reports, the Houthis again attacked the said cargo vessel in Yemen.
“Military authorities report maritime debris and oil sighted in the last reported location,” according to the UKMTO statement.
“The vessel is believed to have sunk,” UKMTO said.

This is the second ship that has been sunken by rebel groups in their campaign.
Based on the statement issued by the management of the MV Tutor, the Philippine Embassy in Athens confirmed that the search and rescue operations for the missing crew have been postponed due to the impending danger.
And this includes the assurance that the search and rescue operations should be undertaken once the cargo vessels dock in a safe port.

According to the management of MV Tutor, they suspected that the missing Filipino crew member was trapped in the ship’s engine room.
The 21 Filipino seafarer have returned home on Tuesday.
