QUEZON, CITY – The Land Transportation Office (LTO) will implement its “No Plate, No Travel” policy on tricycles used as public transportation in Quezon City starting July 1.
The LTO said the strict enforcement of the policy comes after the agency dealt with nearly 3,000 cases of tricycle license plates in the city last month.
Based on the LTO, it will coordinate with the local government of Quezon City in the implementation of the policy.
According to LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Vigor Mendoza II, the “No Plate, No Travel” policy in Quezon City will serve as a pilot run of stricter road safety and anti-colorum measures while the LTO plans to implement the measure nationwide, particularly for four-wheelers. vehicles.
Meanwhile, the LTO is now coordinating with the Department of Transportation on the planning and nationwide implementation of the “no plate, no travel” policy.
