PBBM EXPECTS TO DISCUSS WPS ISSUE WITH VIETNAM LEADERS – DFA

For the first time this, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. will take its of out of the country trip before the end on this month.

He is set visit Vietnam on January 19-31, as confirmed by Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Ma. Teresita Daza during the briefing in Malacañang today.

Daza said, the Philippines and Vietnam will sign a memorandum of understanding for maritime aspects.

Marcos is set to meet three leaders of Vietnam namely Vietnamese President Vo Van Thuong, Prime Minister Pham Minh China and Voung Dinh Hue, the Chairman of National Assembly of Vietnam.

The President will be visit the business leaders in Vietnam to strengthen the trade and investment ties of the Philippines and Vietnam.

Around 7,000 Overseas Filipino Workers are in Vietnam, and majority of them are professionals.

Among the delegation of president are First Lady Louise Liza Araneta Marcos and key members of cabinet.
