Manila Philippines – President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. made a promised that the Philippines will participate in the development of economic growth and even in international cooperation, at the Indo-Pacific Business Forum held in Taguig City.
According to the president, he said his administration will continue to lead the promotion of the Philippines as a major investment destination in the entire Indo-Pacific Region.
This includes Free Trade Agreements (FTAs) and the Generalized System of Preference (GSP), as well as ensuring that foreign investors benefit the country.
“These agreements underscore our commitment to fostering economic growth and international cooperation. With RCEP, investors can access other markets from RCEP countries by manufacturing and exporting their products from the Philippines,” Marcos said in his speech.

He said it is important for the Philippines as a best country when it comes to cooperation with the international community.
The president also praised the efforts of his administration when it comes to the growth of the country’s economy.
“We are continuing to formulate transformative reforms to ensure a conducive business environment, cultivate a skilled and competitive workforce, [and] drive industrial transformation. Through these steadfast efforts, we are attracting foreign investments that are not only fueling our growth, but also broadening our economic base,” the president added.
He also said that the Philippines will continue to ensure collaboration, innovation and shared visions towards a prosperous Indo-Pacific Region.
The chief executive also encouraged the international business community to invest in the energy sector, digitalization, supply chain resilience, and technological innovation, while promoting sustainable transportation in the country.
