Manila Philippines – Nais paimbestigahan ni Senator Francis Tolentino ang wiretapping operation na ginawa ng mga opisyal ng Chinese Embassy sa Manila.
Hinihimok ni Tolentino ang Senate Committee on National Defense na magsagawa ng malalimang imbestigasyon kaugnay sa wiretapping incident sa pagitan ng tauhan ng Armed Forces of the Philippines Western Command (AFP-WESCOM) at ng opisyal mula sa Chinese Embassy.
“This act (Anti-Wiretapping Act) deems it illegal for any individual, not authorized by all parties to a private communication or spoken word, to tap any wire or cable or use devices to secretly overhear, intercept, or record such communication or spoken word,” sabi ni Tolentino sa Senado.
Dahil dito isang resolusyon ang inihain ni Tolentino na Senate Resolution No. 1023 kung pinapatawag sa pagdining at Department of National Defense, National Security Council at ang opisyal ng Chinese Embassy.
Nais ring matukoy ang lawak ng panghihimasok ng China, gaundin ang mapagaralan ang sakop ng Wiretapping Act at matugunan ang ganitong uri ng insidente.
“If the act of wiretapping is proven to be accurate, China should formally apologize to the Philippines for the illegal acts of their officials, waive their diplomatic immunity, and let them face the consequences of their shameless and unbecoming act pursuant to Articles 9 (I)3 and 324 of the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic and Consular Relations,” dagdag pa ng Senator.
Wala pang pahayag ang embahada ng China kung dadalo ba sa magiging pagdinig si Chinese Ambassador to the Philippines Huang Xilian.
Una nang iginiit ng Department of Foreign Affairs, at ng DND na tanging ang punong ehekutibo lang ang maaaring makipagkasundo sa anumang patungkol sa West Philippine Sea.
Hanggang ngayon wala pang inilalabas ang China na transcript kaugnay sa naging kasunduan umano sa Ayungin Shoal, bagay na itinanggi ng gobyerno ng Pilipinas.
