PALACE SAYS AFP VALIDATES ALLEGED PLOT UNDER MARCOS ADMIN

Manila, Philippines – Malacañang Palace says the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) is validating the alleged destabilization plan under the administration of President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

This is in connection with broadcaster Ramon Tulfo’s revelation of the names of alleged former officials involved in the alleged destabilization plan.

According to Palace Press Officer and Undersecretary Claire Castro, the intelligence committee is also investigating the said destabilization.

Tulfo named Vice President Sara Duterte, Congressman Paolo Duterte and former Ilocos Sur Governor Chavit Singson as the ones allegedly behind this plan.

In a statement, Congressman Duterte denied Tulfo’s alleged allegation, saying it was just the imagination of the journalist.

The lawmaker also said the journalist should make a confirmation of what was true and what was fiction.

Among the former generals named is Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalong.

However, in a statement released by Magalong, he also strongly denied the alleged baseless accusation that he is being implicated in destabilizing the government.

Magalong insisted that corruption and deceptions are weakening the country instead of holding those involved in corruption accountable.

“If this so-called “list” is his version of insider intelligence, then the only thing that needs confirmation is whether he still knows the difference between fact and fiction,” Duterte said.—Alvin Pelobello, Eurotv News
