Manila, Philippines — As part of preparations for the Traslacion 2026 tomorrow, January 9, the Manila City local government has conducted extensive cleaning operations along the roads of the annual Feast of the Jesus Nazarene.
According to the Manila Public Information Office, the clean-up aims to ensure cleanliness, safety, and order ahead of the large gathering of devotees.
The operations covered major roads, sidewalks, and market areas across the city, including key sections near the Quirino Grandstand, where the procession of the Jesus Nazarene is scheduled to begin and where thousands of devotees are expected to gather.
Meanwhile, Manila City Mayor Isko Moreno also reminded the public that drinking alcohol is prohibited within the 500-meter radius of the Quiapo Church and along the Traslacion route.
The use of firecrackers is likewise prohibited.
Mayor Isko said these measures are being enforced to help ensure a peaceful observance of the massive religious event.
