DTI MONITORS OIL PRICE HIKE EFFECTS ON BUSINESSES

Manila, Philippines – Amid the ongoing conflict in the Middle East, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) continues to monitor its possible impact on business establishments in the country.

Regarding the implementation of the 4-day work scheme in government offices, the DTI said it is a way to help reduce fuel consumption by their personnel.

Even the possible impact of the flexible work scheme on the private sector.

ASEAN Economic Ministers Retreat is expected to discuss the impact of ongoing conflict across the globe to the business sectors in the Region.

This includes maintaining the collaboration between the government and private sectors that has contributed a lot to the economic development.

There will also be an ASEAN Business Environment Forum led by the Philippines as Chair of the 2026 ASEAN, to further advance investment and business opportunities in the region.

An important aspect amidst the ongoing conflicts in various parts of the world, including the sustainability of investments on the global platform despite the so-called ‘unpredictable environment’.—Alvin Pelobello, Eurotv News
