UNDAS 2026 GENERALLY PEACEFUL, ORDERLY — PNP

This year’s Undas observance was generally peaceful and orderly, according to the Philippine National Police (PNP).

In a post on Facebook, the PNP said no major security-related incidents recorded nationwide despite the large crowds at cemeteries and memorial parks.

Based on the PNP’s post-assessment, more than 59 million people visited 5,311 cemeteries, memorial parks, and columbaria across the country during the monitoring period.

The police recorded only nine incidents nationwide, including three road crashes, one sea or air mishap, one fire, one case of gender-based violence, one illegal firearm possession case, and two other incidents. None was considered a major security incident.

Authorities also confiscated more than 7,100 prohibited items during security checks. No explosives or illegal drugs were seized.

The PNP said the peaceful observance was supported by the deployment of more than 141,000 security and public assistance personnel, including over 73,000 police officers, 16,560 personnel from partner agencies, and more than 51,000 force multipliers.

Police personnel will remain deployed along major roads and transport hubs as travelers continue returning home after the Undas break.
