PCO SEEKS PROBE VS. 3 FB ACCOUNTS OVER ALLEGED SPREADING FAKE NEWS ON PBBM’S HEALTH

Manila, Philippines — During the past few months, among the public concern is President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.’s health condition, which got more noise following his confirmation of being diagnosed of diverticulitis.

While the Malacañang Palace has repeatedly assured that Marcos have recovered and is in stable health condition, various unofficial news and rumors regarding the president’s health continued to circulate online.

Among these are the spread of an alleged medical report showing that Marcos is critically ill.

The Palace have denounced the document calling it fabricated, and formally initiating legal actions against those who spread the fake news—particularly vloggers Jack Argota, Jay Sonza, and Jeffrey Celiz.

Former Presidential Spokesperson Harry Roque then joined the infomation carousel, pointing out a thing in the president’s abdomen which he seemingly claimed as a colostomy bag.

Malacañang immediately denied the accusations, criticizing Roque for spreading such false information about Marcos’ health.

Amid the concerns on his health, Marcos continue to assure that there is no health concerns, proving it as he jogged in the palace and carried a rice bag.

Likewise, the Palace continue on initiating legal works against individuals behind the spread of these fake news.

On Wednesday, the Presidential Communications Office Anti Fake News Desk formally endorsed its narrative before the Department of Justice, seeking an investigation against three facebook accounts who allegedly spread fake information regarding Marcos’ health.

Among the, are “Iloy Bugris: The Queen of Revelations” fb account who in a live broadcast claimed that the PResident is critically ill, and showed a fake medical report of Marcos.

This is still aside from soliciting financial contributions from viewers.

The account “Rigondola Ping” is also subjected for investigation over alleged manipulation of an image seemingly showing that Marcos experiences physical distress.

PCO said that there is no such occurrence and that the photo was deliberately made to manipulate the public.

The account Crage Anderpal, on the other hand, is also included in the probe over posting fabricated news graphics confirming a critical illness of the president.

The last two accounts are currently unable to be searched.

On DOJ’s end, the recommnedation will be subjected for evaluation, and will soon be referred to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) for investigation.—Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
