Washington, USA — United States President Donald Trump has once again sparked discussion about a possible third presidential bid.
Speaking at the rescheduled White House Correspondents’ Association Dinner following the shooting incident last April 2026, Trump said he intended to run again in the 2028 presidential election.
And to flaunt further, he put on a red “Trump 2028” cap and jokingly suggested he was even considering a fourth run for the White House.
Trump also remarked that each of his terms had been better than the last before telling the audience he was only joking.
Under the 22nd Amendment of the U.S. Constitution, however, no president can be elected to the office more than twice.
Any attempt to seek another elected term in 2028 would require a constitutional change.
Trump was elected in 2016 and again in 2024, meaning he has already reached the constitutional limit.
