Manila, Philippines — Distribution of fuel subsidies for taxi drivers officially started on April 24 and will run until April 25.
Under the program, qualified beneficiaries will receive ₱5,000 in fuel assistance.
According to LTFRB Chairman Atty. Vigor Mendoza, there is no finalized master list from the agency, as the list of beneficiaries is based on submissions from taxi operators.
The beneficiaries include taxi drivers who were not included in the initial list previously released by the Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB).
The government’s Fuel Subsidy Program is implemented under the Department of Transportation (DOTr) and LTFRB, aiming to ensure that no stakeholders in the public transportation sector are left behind in receiving assistance.
