Manila, Philippines — Following two weeks of increases in oil prices, motorists will expecting a slight rollback as September begins.
Based on the advisory from the Department of Energy, diesel prices is expected to decline by P3.84 per liter starting Tuesday.
Gaoline prices will drop by P0.32 per liter, while P3.84 per liter decrease in kerosene prices.
Despite the slight rollback, DOE continues to coordinate with oil companies to expand the implementation of fuel discount programs for PUVs, TNVS, delivery riders, and other motorists amid the still high oil prices in the global market.
As of August 31, Caltex, Petron, Shell, PTT, SeaOil, and Cleanfuel still implements and offers fuel discounts for PUVs and PUJs.
UniOil and SeaOil also offers fuel discounts for TNVS drivers, like Grab, Joyride, Angkas, and more.
Other companies also offers fuel discounts and promos for motorcycle riders and other private motorists.
Motorists are advised to always monitor the regular and updated list from DOE for the oil firms that offers fuel discounts to support Filipino motorists in the height of high oil prices.—Mia Layaguin, Eurotv News
