POPE LEO XIV ASKS FOR PRAYERS IN FIRST MESSAGE AFTER SURGERY

Pope Leo XIV has appealed for prayers in his first message following a successful surgery on Tuesday.

The message directly issued to Catholics who were meeting to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Amoris Laetitia, a document written by Pope Francis about the church’s work with couples and families.

The Pope acknowledged that he had been unable to join the participants in person during the gathering.

He then tackled their efforts to commemorate the anniversary, as he pledged to keep them in his own prayers.

He is currently undergoing physiotherapy session.

The Holy See meanwhile reported that despite all this medical checks, the Pope is progressing normally.
