The P1NAS group condemned the Marcos administration for allowing the United States military to turn the Philippines into a virtual doormat.
The group asserted that the Philippines’ alleged alliance with the US could ignite a war against China.
President Marcos Jr. authorized four new Enhanced Defense Cooperation Agreement (EDCA) bases under his administration. The four US military bases are specifically located in Northern and Central Luzon.
Moreover, recent reports revealed that the Philippines is close to finalizing a Reciprocal Access Agreement (RAA) with Japan, which would permit Japanese troops to deploy in the Philippines.
The Department of Foreign Affairs also declared the Philippines’ growing relationship with New Zealand.
P1NAS spokesperson Antonio Tinio insisted that this alliance jeopardizes Philippine sovereignty and embroils the country in international conflicts.
As a result, the group is urging the Marcos administration to sever its alliance with the US and focus on protecting the Philippines’ territory in the West Philippine Sea and its sovereignty.
They advocate for using diplomatic measures and multilateral cooperation within ASEAN.
