Suspect in Hotel Murder of Three Tourists in Tagaytay Surrenders

The suspect in the murder of three individuals, including an Australian and his wife, has surrendered. The 31-year-old suspect is a former employee of the hotel where the victims were killed.

According to a report by James Agustin on GTV Balitanghali this Wednesday, the suspect turned himself in to the chairman of Barangay Toong and Tuy, Batangas Mayor Jey Cerrado.

The Tagaytay City police have since taken the suspect into custody.

Prior to his surrender, authorities identified the suspect through CCTV footage. Investigations revealed that he was fired from the hotel in March due to a theft incident.

The police suggest that the crime was motivated by revenge, as the suspect allegedly did not receive back pay from the hotel management.

The suspect reportedly entered the victims’ room armed with a knife by accessing the rear window. He now faces charges of robbery with multiple homicide.
