PNP TO CREATE MINDANAO TASK FORCE FOR BARMM ELECTION 2025

MANILA PHILIPPINES – Basilan Representative and Deputy Minority Leader Mujiv Hataman asked the Department of interior and Local Government (DILG) and Philippine National Police (PNP) on their road map for the upcoming election of the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao BARMM in 2025.

During the hearing of the proposed P281.3-B 2025 budget of the DILG in the House of the Representatives, Hataman asked if the agency has a road map for their preparation in the coming election especially the peace and order situation of BARMM.

Here, PNP Chief Police General Rommel Francisco Marbil assured that they were able to cooperate in the peaceful holding of the first BARMM elections.

With the help of the various government agencies, he said that they will establish Task Force Mindanao.

He also requested the DILG Secretary’s permission to visit Mindanao to meet with the AFP and other agencies to talk about the said task force and lay out the plan for safe, secure and peaceful BARMM parliamentary elections in 2025.
