GOV’T OFFICES, CLASSES SUSPENDED TO GIVE WAY INC’S PEACE RALLY, JAN. 13

Manila, Philippines – Malacañang has released Memorandum Circular No. 76, announcing the suspension of work in government offices and classes at all levels in the cities of Manila and Pasay on January 13, 2025.

This measure was implemented to facilitate the smooth organization of the “National Rally for Peace,” an event led by Iglesia Ni Cristo, which calls President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. not to impeach Vice President Sara Duterte, as there are more pressing issues yet to be prioritized.

Meanwhile, agencies responsible for essential services such as health, disaster response, and other critical operations are exempted from the suspension and will continue to function.

For private companies, decisions on work suspension are left to the discretion of their respective management.

The memorandum signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin takes effect immediately, ensuring ample preparation for the said event.
