Manila, Philippines — The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) assured that it continues to closely monitor the projects being implemented by local government units (LGUs) nationwide that utilize the ₱57.87B Local Government Support Fund (LGSF) allocated by the government.
The DILG also ensured that every peso of the fund is properly used and not go into the pocket of any official.
Through the SubayBAYAN portal, a real-time online platform that is also open to the public, ongoing LGU projects can be viewed.
This platform also provides clear data, location, and progress updates for each project.
According to the DILG, they are joined in monitoring, evaluation, and implementation by Local Project Monitoring Committees and civil society organizations.
Based on data gathered in 2025, they have already recorded 161 monitored projects, while in 2026, 933 infrastructure projects worth ₱5.8 billion have been monitored.
Meanwhile, in Barangay Canidkid, Montevista, Davao de Oro, a concrete road project has been completed and is now being used by residents.
In Leon B. Postigo, Zamboanga del Norte, the expansion of the Level III water supply system is now providing convenience and assistance to two barangays.
The DILG also emphasized that it will continue to support programs and projects of LGUs as long as these are properly implemented and responsive to the needs of their constituents.
It is worth noting that this year, the government allocated a significant amount of LGSF to LGUs, including 50% of the fund dedicated to rice distribution.
