OIL FIRMS TO IMPLEMENT MIXED ADJUSTMENTS IN PETROLEUM PRICES STARTING OCT. 6

Manila, Philippines — Starting Tuesday, October 6, oil firms will be implementing a mixed adjustments on petroleum prices.

Based on the announcement of the Department of Energy (DOE), diesel prices will be lowered by P1.30 per liter.

Gasoline and kerosene will both implement an increase, with P1.93 per liter and P3.30 per liter respectively.

DOE noted that these adjustments are due to the impacts of the still on going tension in the Middle East region.

Meanwhile, price of cooking gas are also anticipated to increase P17.33 per kilo or about P190.63 per LPG tank.

This increase came after the September 25 announcement of the President, temporarily suspending the implementatioj of excise tax on LPG and kerosene to help Filipinos address the still soaring oil prices.
