TOLL REBATE FOR AGRI-TRUCKS TO BE IMPLEMENTED ON JUNE 1

Manila, Philippines – Starting June 1, the Philippine government will implement toll rebates for all trucks carrying agricultural products whenever they pass through the South Luzon Expressways (SLEX), North Luzon Expressways (NLEX), MCX, SCTEX, and CAVITEX as long as the Department of Agriculture (DA) accredits the transport.

According to the Toll Regulatory Board (TRB), these toll rebates are part of the government’s ongoing efforts to lower the prices of basic commodities in the country, which they pass on to the market. This program will last for three months starting in June.

Afterward, the TRB, Department of Finance (DOF), Department of Transportation (DOTr), and Department of Agriculture (DA) will decide whether to continue this program.

The TRB reminds truck operators that this program is only for trucks with valid Autosweep and Easytrip RFID accounts.

Agri-trucks can save on toll rebates on the mentioned expressways, with the amount depending on the vehicle class.

For example, Class 1 and Class 2 vehicles can save between P2 and P80, while Class 3 vehicles can save between P16 and P211.
