P1.39 million worth of shabu were seized in a series of operations in Bulacan and Pampanga.
Operatives of the San Fernando City Police Stations Drug Enforcement Unit gathered 75 grams of suspected shabu from alias “Edwin”, alias “Maine”, and alias “Bentaks” who were all arrested.
This happened at 11:58 p.m. on July 3 in Brgy. San Pedro Cutud, San Fernando City, Pampanga.
On the same night at 11:20 p.m. during a buy-bust operation conducted in Brgy. Borol 1st, Balagtas, the Balagtas Municipal Police Station in Bulacan collared alias “Jasper” and recovered 50 grams of contraband.
A few hours later, July 4 at 3:30 a.m., operatives of the Orani Municipal Police Station with the assistance of Philippines Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office 3 arrested alias “Buboy” in Brgy. Bayan, Orani, Bataan and recovered 80 grams of suspected drugs.
In total, more than 200 grams of suspected shabu worth more than P1.39 million were confiscated in the series of anti-drug operations.
Police Regional Office (PRO) 3 Director Police Brigadier General Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., expressed his gratitude for the efforts of the operating units.
Penones said, “The successful operations speak volumes of PRO3’s steadfast commitment to the campaign against illegal drugs.”
“Let this be a firm message to drug personalities—your days are numbered. We will continue to pursue and bring you to justice to ensure the safety and well-being of our communities” he added.
The suspects will face charges of Violations of Sections 5 and 11, Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.—Raymond Jacinto, Contributor
