Manila, Philippines – There is no “I” in “Basketball”, as Jack Animam celebrates her TCL Player of the Game honors with her Gilas Women teammates after they beat Lebanon yesterday, July 16.
She was seen crying when doing a photoshoot with her award, and let their teammates join in quickly to celebrate it as a team’s victory.
Animam was one of the X-factors of the national team — as she is reliable in grabbing boards and scoring.
In the victory against Lebanon, she had 14 points with 16 rebounds. The team won by the final scores of 73-70.
The dub gave the Philippine women’s team a spot for the 2025 FIBA Women’s Cup Qualifiers.
They will face whoever is in the second placer of Group A, wherein New Zealand, Indonesia, South Korea, and China powerhouses are in the said group. –Kyle Basa, Contributor
