Alexandra Eala comes off with a very fresh momentum, as she showed dominating performance in her first game in Sao Paulo Open Round today (September 10).
The 20-year old (World No. 61) Filipina beat (World No. 380) Yasmine Mansouri of France, in which she advanced to the second round of the competition.
The French foe stood no chance against Eala; finishing the game in just two sets with the final scores of 6-0, 6-2.
She is on a red-hot 6-game winning streak, just as we expected from the Guadalajara 125 Open Champion.
As she advances in the second round, she will be facing Julia Riera of Argentina; a familiar foe.
Their first match-up resulted in the Argentinian’s victory, in which she beat Eala in a nail-biting game with the final scores of 4-6, 7-6, and 6-4 in the French Open qualifiers. They once met again at the opener of Cary tiff, with Eala settling up the score and the victor of the face-off with the final score of 6-3, 6-1.
Whoever wins in the match-up will advance in the competition.
Eala’s next match-up will be held on September 11 (Manila Time).—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
