NO STOPPING EALA; BEATS RIERA, PROCEEDS TO QFINALS IN SAO PAULO OPEN

Alexandra Eala put up an amazing performance once again, as she tends to showcase her dominance in the WTA Sao Paulo Open 2025 today (September 11).

Her swiftiness is what kept her momentum from the very start, until the match ended.

She faced off against the Argentinian Julia Riera — they already matched-up two times before: One win for Riera, and one win for Eala. But this time around, it was Eala who claimed the victor.

The rising star only needed an hour and 17 minutes to finish off her three-time opponent in the game, finishing in just two sets.

The final scores of Eala’s outstanding performance against Riera was 6-1, 6-4.

She will now be proceeding to the Quarterfinals of Sao Paulo Open, and looking forward to claiming her next WTA 250 title.

As she reached her seventh-game winning streak, her world ranking rose from World No. 61 to World No.55.

The next opponent she will go up against Indonesia’s 23-year old Janice Tjen.—Kyle Basa, Eurotv News
