TRUMP SAYS “NO GOING BACK” ON GREENLAND CONTROL

Washington, United States — U.S. President Donald Trump is once again persistent in taking control of Greenland, saying there is no turning back for this push.

In a post on his Truth Social platform on Tuesday, Trump called Greenland “imperative for national and world security,” adding that there can be “no going back” on the issue and everyone must agree.

The remarks came after Trump said he spoke with NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte.

No details of that conversation were made public.

Trump also took pride in the United States as the world’s most powerful nation, claiming it is the only country capable of guaranteeing global peace.

The renewed comments reinforce Trump’s ambition to acquire Greenland, an autonomous territory of Denmark, against what he describes as growing security threats from Russia or China.

Denmark and Greenland, however, have repeatedly rejected the idea, stressing that the island is not for sale and that its future should be decided by its people.

To underscore his message, Trump also shared several separate AI-generated images on social media.

One image shows him standing in Greenland holding an American flag. A placard was also seen, indicating that Greenland is a US territory.

Another depicts him addressing world leaders beside an altered map that portrays Greenland as part of the United States. Canada and Venezuela were also included.

Denmark and Greenland have yet to issue a response to the altered images. But, the Venezuelan government urges their citizens to post its map on social media as a symbolic action against it.

Trump is now traveling to Switzerland, where he is expected to meet European leaders at the World Economic Forum.

Meanwhile, several European countries have reportedly increased military deployments in Greenland as tensions continue to rise.
