FIRST BOARD OF PEACE MEETING SET TO ANNOUNCE OVER $5B IN MEMBER PLEDGES — TRUMP

Washington, USA — The multinational Board of Peace is expected to formally announce more than five billion dollars commitment in pledges from member states for Gaza’s reconstruction and humanitarian assistance.

In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump said the commitment will be unveiled during the group’s first official meeting on Thursday, February 19 (US time).

Trump added that participating nations have also pledged thousands of personnel to support the international stabilization force in Gaza.

The meeting will be held at the Donald J. Trump Institute of Peace in Washington.

The Board of Peace was formally endorsed last year through a United Nations Security Council resolution as part of a broader US peace framework following the two-year war between Israel and Hamas.

Its charter was signed in January, with more than 20 world leaders joining the initiative, including regional Middle East powers such as Turkey, Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Israel.

Indonesia, also a member of the board, is preparing to deploy up to 8,000 troops in support of the stabilization mission.

The initiative remains open to other countries invited by the United States.

Meanwhile on the same post, Trump reiterated his call for Hamas to disarm.

The militant group, meanwhile, made it clear that they will not disarm.
