The rollout of the P10 per liter fuel subsidy discount for PUV drivers started on Tuesday, in line with government’s measures to ease the effect of the oil price crisis on the members of the transportation sector.
It is a nationwide roll-out, but is launched first in Metro Manila, from which 52 gasoline stations are accredited to offer the discount.
Under the program, PUV jeepney and UV express drivers may avail P10 discount per liter of diesel.
It has a maximum of 150 liters per week which equates to P1,500 of savings from oil expenses,
However, the subsidy resets per week and any amount not availed will not be carried out in the succeeding weeks.
In Quezon City, Commonwealth area, 28 gasoline stations are participating in the program, while 4 in Quezon Avenue-España Boulevard area.
In Malabon City Rizal Avenue, 2 gas stations offer the subsidy, while independent stations in Manila City and Caloocan City.
On the other hand, 4 petron stations are joining in Las Piñas Zapote Road—one from shell and an independent station,
Phoenix carries the discount in Muntinlupa City.
In Pasig City Marcos Highway, 6 different gas companies offer the discount, while 5 in Bonifacio Avenue.
The full list and exact addresses of the stations may be accessed on the Department of Energy’s official website and page, while the Department of Transportations said that tarpaulin in gas stations will be posted as well.
