LAKAS-CMD, PFP JOIN FORCES PRIOR TO 2025 MIDTERM ELECTIONS

MANILA PHILIPPINES – Two prominent political party join forces prior to the upcoming May 2025 midterm elections.

The Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and Lakas Christian-Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) signed into an alliance called ‘Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas’.

President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. upon witnessing the signing of alliance, he highlighted the importance of this unity in driving the nation towards progress and prosperity aiming to deliver better public service and fulfill their commitment to the Filipino people.

Marcos also underscored the alliance’s overarching mission, emphasizing its core objective which is to construct a resilient Philippines that will endure for generations to come.

“Ginagawa natin ito dahil kailangan natin ng pagkakaisa. Kailangan natin ng pagkakaisa dahil ito ang tanging solusyon sa mga suliranin na kinakaharap ng lipunan ng Pilipinas,” President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. stated after witnessing the signing of an alliance agreement between the Partido Federal ng Pilipinas (PFP) and Lakas-Christian Muslim Democrats (Lakas-CMD) in a ceremony at the Manila Polo Club in Makati City on May 8, 2024.

“We will serve and make the lives of every Filipino beautiful… ‘That is our constant promise and oath to help every Filipino,” the President added.


Also present in the ceremony were Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, president emeritus of Lakas-CMD, House Speaker Martin Romualdez, PFP official, senators and other lawmakers.

President Marcos, and Vice President Sara Duterte were carried out the UNITEAM Alliance composed of both parties during the 2022 national elections.
