Manila Philippines — House Deputy Minority Leader and ACT Teachers Partylist Representative France Castro is encouraging the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) to unite against China’s illegal activities in the South China Sea.
This is after the Military official announced that China confiscated a supply crate of food destined for the BRP Sierra Madre, but the Chinese willfully, and intentionally scattered and threw it into the ocean.
According to Castro, China is becoming greedy, destroying and stealing the seas that Filipino fishermen should be able to benefit from.
“China is increasingly becoming a big greedy dragon; stealing and destroying the treasures and resources of peaceful people,” said Castro in a statement.

Because of this, Castro calls on the countries that occupy South China to unite and file a case with the United Nations against China.
“We Filipinos, along with other ASEAN countries with claims in the South China Sea, must unite in patrolling our waters and file cases against this growing monster at the UN,” Castro added.
The lawmaker also strongly condemns the activities of the Chinese Coast Guard and calls on the Philippine government to take a stronger stance against China.
“We cannot let China’s bullying tactics go unchecked. It’s time for us to stand up and fight for our rights and our territories,” the lawmaker said.
In a statement, the Chinese Foreign Ministry said that China will continue to defend its sovereignty, rights and maritime interests.
Along with persuading the Philippines to comply with their commitment and comply with territorial delimitation.
