Woo Do-hwan and Lee Yoo-mi Join Forces for Netflix Rom-Com

South Korean actors Woo Do-hwan and Lee Yoo-mi are set to headline a new romantic comedy series, “Mr. Plankton,” which is slated to debut on Netflix this November.

The series centers on a man who discovers he has limited time to live and an unlucky woman who unintentionally joins him on what becomes the final chapter of his life, according to Netflix’s announcement.

In the newly released trailer, Woo Do-hwan’s character, Hae-jo, finds out he has brain tumors, while Lee Yoo-mi’s character, Jae-mi, is diagnosed with premature menopause, despite her plans for motherhood.

As the story unfolds, it is revealed that Hae-jo and Jae-mi were once in a relationship. In a dramatic twist, Hae-jo reappears on Jae-mi’s wedding day and offers her an escape.

The trailer also introduces Jae-mi’s fiancé, Eo-heung, portrayed by actor Oh Jung-se.

“Mr. Plankton” is set to premiere on November 8.

Woo Do-hwan is widely known for his roles in “Tempted,” “The King: Eternal Monarch,” “Joseon Attorney,” and “Bloodhounds,” while Lee Yoo-mi gained international fame through her Emmy-winning performance in “Squid Game.”

Oh Jung-se, who plays a supporting role, is recognized for his work in hit dramas like “When the Camellia Blooms,” “It’s Okay to Not Be Okay,” and “Sweet Home.”
