Actress and TV host Anne Curtis’s wax figure was unveiled in Makati City on Wednesday, marking her as the first Filipino actress and host to be displayed at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong.
The figure, which perfectly captures Anne’s likeness was posed holding a microphone, symbolizing her iconic role as a TV host.
Reflecting on her 27-year career, Anne explained that the microphone has been a powerful tool throughout her journey, and she felt it was essential to include it in her wax figure.
The Showtime host also expressed pride in representing Filipinos on the global stage, that it is time for Filipinos to gain recognition internationally.
Her wax figure will be available for viewing at Madame Tussauds Hong Kong starting December 9.
Filipino icons, such as Manny Pacquiao, Pia Wurtzbach, Catriona Gray, and Lea Salonga, were also previously featured with their own wax figures.
