PBBM, VP SARA DROPS TRUST, PERFORMANCE RATES — OCTA

Manila, Philippines — OCTA Research, on Tuesday, released the newest results of the nation-wide survey on the trust and performance ratings for the two highest officials in the country— President Ferdinand “BongBong” Marcos Jr. and Vice President Sara Duterte.

Based on OCTA’s 4th Quarter 2024 Tugon ng Masa survey, conducted on November 10-16, Marcos received 65% trust ratings, which is slightly lower than the 69% last quarter.

In terms of performance ratings, Marcos got 64% , which is also two percentage lower than the previous results.

OCTA research noted that the results implies that majority of the Filipinos remains to trust and are satisfied with the Marcos’ performance as the president of the counry.

Meanwhile, ratings for VP Sara continues to decline following results from the previous quarters.

Trust ratings on Duterte dropped by 10-percentages from 59% to 49%.

Similarly, her performance ratings dipped to 48% from the previous 52%.

OCTA revealed that this is the first time that both the trust and perfromance rating of Duterte have dropped below the majority threshold.

Hence, these figures reflect a continuing downward trend on Duterte’s ratings and are also the lowest ratings for the vice president since December 2023.
