KOREAN ACTRESS KIM SAE RON DEAD AT 24

Seoul, South Korea — Two years since she stepped out of the limelight due to Driving under influence (DUI) controversy, South Korean actress Kim Sae-Ron was found dead at her home on Sunday.

Police reports said that the unconscious body of the 24-year old actress was discovered by a friend, with no signs of foul play, as of the initial reports.

Officers are currently investigating the cause of her death.

Kim started her career as a child actor and was among South Korea’s most promising young actresses.

Most known for her roles in the 2009 film “A Brand New Life,” “The Man from Nowhere” which was South Korea’ highest grossing film of 2010, and the 2012 thriller “The Neighbors.”

However, Kim’s career took a turn after she was convicted guilty of drunk driving in April 2023.

Since then, roles and works for her in the industry became fewer, till it became dull.

Her last known role was in Netflix’s korean drama Bloodhounds in 2023. Reports said that she role in the drama was edited out due to the driving incident.

In 2024, she came back as the talk of the town following a dating rumor with “Queen of Tears” lead Kim Soo Hyun.

Following the confirmation of her death, various celebrities have paid tribute to Kim’s memory.
