The Myx Music Awards is making its highly anticipated return after a two-year hiatus, with P-pop sensations BINI and SB19 leading the nominations for the 2024 edition.
Having been held annually since 2006, the Myx Music Awards shifted to virtual ceremonies in 2020 and 2021. During its break, Myx collaborated in organizing the Awit Awards. Now back in full swing, the competition for Artist of the Year includes top nominees BINI, SB19, Juan Karlos Labajo, Lola Amour, and Maki.
BINI and SB19 also face off in the Music Video of the Year category, with BINI’s “Cherry on Top” and SB19’s “Moonlight,” both directed by Kerbs Balagtas, among the top contenders. Additional nominees in this category include Maki’s “Dilaw,” Denise Julia and P-Lo’s “B.A.D.,” and SB19 member Justin’s co-directed “Surreal.”
BINI’s “Salamin, Salamin” is nominated for Pop Video of the Year, while their song “Pantropiko” competes for Song of the Year. SB19’s Justin also snagged a nomination for Mellow Video of the Year for “Surreal,” as well as for Rock Video of the Year with “Misteryoso” by Cup of Joe.
Other SB19 members have earned nominations as well: Stell for “Room” (Pop Video of the Year), Pablo for “Determinado” (Collaboration of the Year), and Josh for “Yoka Na” (R&B Video of the Year and Collaboration of the Year).
