BINI’S HISTORIC MILESTONE AT COACHELLA, SOUGHT TO BE RECOGNIZED

Manila, Philippines — Amid the continued success of the Nation’s Girl Group BINI in their global career, they continue to impress and promote Original Pilipino Music (OPM) abroad.

This includes the group’s historic milestone at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in Indio, California, as the first Filipino girl group to perform there on April 10 and April 17.

Senator Bam Aquino wants to recognize this in his resolution filed in the Senate as the pride of the Philippines for their performance on the international stage

Under Senate Resolution 370, the senator aims to recognize and commend Filipino artists who bring honor to the country through their success on the global stage.

The resolution specifically identified the eight members, including Joana, Colet, Sheena, Aiah, Maloi, Stacey, Mikha, and Gwen.

In addition, the senator also emphasized the group’s use of traditional clothing, salakot, and tropical inspired outfits which showcase Filipino identity.

Bini and other Filipino artists are just one of the proofs that the Philippine creative economy is rising, reflecting the talent of Filipinos.

Meanwhile, aside from BINI’s Coachella performance, which will be available to watch tomorrow morning, tickets for their first “Signal” world tour at the SM Mall of Asia Arena are also sold out.
