A live-in couple was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Compostela, Davao de Oro, after authorities seized suspected shabu worth more than ₱3.5 million.
The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency Regional Office 11, together with police units, arrested the suspects, identified by their aliases “Enting,” 39, and “Janice,” 37, in Barangay San Miguel on October 10.
Authorities said the couple sold a sachet of suspected shabu worth ₱7,000 to an undercover operative.
Operatives also confiscated nine sachets containing approximately 517 grams of suspected shabu, with an estimated value of ₱3,515,600, along with drug paraphernalia and the marked money used in the operation.
The seized substances will undergo documentation and laboratory examination.
The suspects are expected to face charges for violating the Republic Act No. 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.
