SWS: 59% OF FILIPINOS SATISFIED WITH MARCOS ADMIN

Manila, Philippines — Majority of Filipino adults have expressed satisfaction over President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr.’s administration, according to the December 2024 survey results of Social Weather Stations (SWS).

In the Fourth Quarter 2024 SWS survey uploaded on January 29, 2025, 59% of Filipinos said that they are satisfied with the general performance of the national administration.

This, however, represented a one-percentage decrease from the results of the survey conducted on September 2024.

The administration got the highest satisfaction rating from respondents in the Visayas region with 65%, followed by Balance Luzon (63%), National Capital Region (57%), and Mindanao (47%).

With this, the overall net satisfaction rating of the Marcos Administration on the last quarter of 2024 was at +36, which falls under SWS’ good classification.

According to the survey results, out of the 17 specific performance subjects or issues, five were rated as “very good” net satisfaction:

  • Helping victims of disasters (+65)
  • Improving the quality of children’s education (+60)
  • Helping the poor (+57)
  • Creating policies which will generate job opportunities (+51)
  • Developing science and technology (+51)

Meanwhile, the same survey results revealed that 23% of Filipinos were dissatisfied, while 17% were unsure of the general performance of the Marcos administration.

The survey was conducted on December 12 to 18, 2024 via face-to-face interview set-up with 2,160 adult participants nationwide.
